Only Microbiologist in Congress Says Enough is Enough

Michigan Representative Louise Slaughter, the only microbiologist in Congress, has been working for over ten years to change the laws that allow the indiscriminate use of antibiotics in this countries meat supply chain. "I cannot get over the astonishment and anger that one of the best medical breakthroughs in the history of the world has been frittered away with such careless use," said Rep. Louise Slaughter.
