We price this lamb package by the ‘hanging’ weight. Paying by ‘hanging’ weight means you will pay on the basis of the weight of the individual animal (the fairest way possible). A typical Whole Lamb package will have a hanging weight of 42 lbs. plus or minus 20%. Our example then would cost 42 lbs. X $8.99 or $377.58. The actual lamb you’ll receive will be less due to the cutting away of bones and fat.
These grass-fed lamb cuts will be wrapped in plastic and ‘butcher’ paper for maximum freezer life. Generally they will be individually wrapped with some of the steaks wrapped 2 to a package.
This package will include;
12-14 Lamb Steaks each between 8 and 10 oz.
8-10 Lamb Chops each weighing between 6-8 oz.
Included will be;
2 Leg of Lamb each weighing between 3-4 lbs.
2 Lamb Ribs each weighing between 1.5-2lbs.
2 Lamb Shanks weighing between 1.25-1.75 lbs.
This package will contain approx.
3-5 1lb packages of Ground Lamb
*The actual number of cuts you receive may be different than what is listed here. This is due to differences in the size of animals and the size of the individual cuts.
